Solving Health Problems with Pet Diagnostics in Fort Mill

Veterinarians have a difficult job to do—they need to be able to know what’s wrong with your pet, without being able to ask them what the problem is. Sometimes, even a physical exam won’t be enough to yield answers. If your pet is suffering from an illness, seems injured, or just isn’t acting like themselves, diagnostic tests may be necessary. These tests allow us to evaluate your pet’s internal organ systems.

Pet Diagnostics Services

Here at Palmetto Pet Hospital in Fort Mill, we offer in-house and referral laboratory diagnostics to evaluate your pet’s health using blood, urine, and stool samples. These tests can help us detect parasites, signs of infection, and other potentially harmful conditions.

Dog and Cat X-Rays and Ultrasound

To get a better look at your dog and cat’s internal anatomy, your veterinarian may recommend X-rays or an ultrasound. X-rays use radiation to form a picture of internal organs, whereas ultrasound uses sound wave echoes to better evaluate the organs’ textures.
